Coffee is the world's most commercialized agricultural product. Every day around 2 million cups are drunk. With a volume of business second only to that of oil, it is supported by the work of thousands of farmers in more than 12 countries.
Coffee was discovered hundreds of years ago in Ethiopia, which is currently Africa's leading exporter and largest consumer. Tahir, Abbas and other small producers collect a unique variety that grows spontaneously in Harenna Forest, at 1800 meters above sea level in the mountains of the National Park Bale, Oromia region, 350 km south of Addis Ababa.
The bean's journey begins with them, from the plant to the international markets to our cups.
