Local manufacturing of soda pop in Turkey starts in the 1930s. In the 1960s, the number of local manufacturers had already reached one thousand. Local manufacturing tried to survive until the 1990s, their struggle becoming harsher when international brands, especially cola brands entered the local market in late 60s.
Eventually most of them were defeated, unable to compete with the monopolistic strategies of international brands. This documentary tells the story and struggle of Turkey's local soda producers and their struggle, recalling long lost local brands.
