Naoto Matsumura lives alone with the animals in Tomioka, a town, located only 12 kilometers away from the melted-down nuclear power plant. When disaster struck at Fukushima in 2011 Naoto refused to leave and stayed at home without running water or electricity. The daily struggle to keep the animals became his new way of life.
