How happy would you be if today were the end of the world? And if, coincidentally, this day were your birthday, or you were just about to see your mother or go on a date with someone you like? A Forest Fairy Tale is exactly that – a story about happiness. A story retold through a series of short vignettes of how happy (or unhappy) a couple of animals are on the last day on Earth. Of course, a rapidly-approaching, fiery asteroid on a collision course with Earth is always a good excuse for contemplation and self-reflection. If all this sounds too depressing to you, fear not! In this film, nobody is seen or heard crying (except maybe the author, if you listen closely enough).
